Birlasoft Chairs Krishna Thiagarajan as its Senior Vice President & Global Head of Data & AI

Birlasoft has designated Krishna Thiagarajan as its Senior Vice President & Global Head of Data & AI, as a strategic decision to strengthen its focus on fastest-growing area of technology industry. In this role, Mr. Thiagarajan will bring along extensive experience across analytics, data, artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI (genAI), technology advisory and digital transformation to firm’s global Data & AI initiatives.
Krishna brings extensive leadership experience from a career spanning multiple leading technology companies. Before joining Birlasoft, he served in senior positions at Virtusa, Tech Mahindra, NTT DATA and Satyam Computer Services, Infosys, Compuware, and other multinational companies at senior positions, where he focused on driving data-led transformation initiatives and building and scaling technology capabilities across organisations.

Extensive Experience

During his tenure at Virtusa, Krishna headed the Analytics, Insights & Data business. Earlier, at Tech Mahindra, he took on the role of Global Practice Head for Data & Analytics. Across these leadership positions, he has worked closely with businesses to translate technology, data and emerging innovations into solutions aligned with changing organisational needs.
His professional experience includes establishing and expanding technology practices, accelerating business growth, nurturing high-performing teams and working with senior executives on data and AI transformation initiatives. This combination of strategic and operational expertise is well suited to the changing enterprise AI landscape, where organisations are increasingly shifting their focus from experimentation and pilots to embedding data and AI capabilities into critical business functions.
